My love of design started a long way from the USA in a town 25 miles north of London. By the time I reached my teenage years I had fallen in love with the use of colour and texture in design. The first path of my journey took me into the world of fashion, but over time all paths led back to the seeds my parents had planted in my as a child. The knowledge they passed on to me had been handed down to them by master gardeners and winning growers... this ingrown gene guided me to the world of Floral design and later narrowing down that love to the design of flowers for wedding events. Arriving in the USA in '85 my knowledge and desire was expanding and so Laurel Lane was conceived.

Over the years that followed Laurel Lane has had the fortune to be involved in some of the most elegant affairs that have taken place in the Mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut. Our work has been featured in the national award winning GRACE ORMONDE WEDDING STYLE and TOWN & COUNTRY magazine as well as numerous local magazines. Our designs have adorned events as far reaching as the presidential visit of then President Clinton to Rhode Island as well as a family wedding of the Vice President of Sony Films.

I continue to expand my love of design and pass that knowledge onto the future brides that step through our doors looking for elegance, style and a wonderful way through floral art to create the day that they have dreamed of: Their wedding day.
